Sheku Kanneh-Mason is widely regarded as one of the leading cellists of his generation, admired for his expressive artistry and broad musical curiosity. Born in Nottingham in 1999, he rose to international prominence in 2016 after winning the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. Since then, he has performed with major orchestras across Europe, the United States and internationally, and gained worldwide recognition following his appearance at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2018.

Comfortable performing both cornerstone classical works and contemporary repertoire, Kanneh-Mason is a strong advocate for new music and for broadening the reach of classical performance. He records exclusively with Decca Classics and plays a 1700 Matteo Goffriller cello from Venice. In addition to his solo work, he regularly collaborates with his musically gifted siblings and is a committed supporter of music education and accessibility.
