THE BOOK OF MORMON NEW ZEALAND

All You Need To Know About The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon is a critically acclaimed, award-winning musical comedy that has achieved international acclaim. Created by South Park’s Trey Parker and Matt Stone, alongside composer Robert Lopez (Frozen, Avenue Q), the production expertly blends sharp satire, witty storytelling, and memorable musical numbers. Since its Broadway debut in 2011, the show has earned nine Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, and continues to captivate audiences around the world.

The story follows two young missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who are sent from Salt Lake City to a remote village in Uganda. Ill-prepared for the realities they face, the pair must navigate a series of cultural challenges far removed from their sheltered upbringing. Celebrated for its bold humour and unexpected emotional depth, The Book of Mormon has been hailed by The New York Times as “the best musical of this century” and by Entertainment Weekly as “the funniest musical of all time”. The production returns to Melbourne’s Princess Theatre this February for a strictly limited season.
