Supergrass, an English rock band from Oxford, was formed in 1993. The original trio consisted of Gaz Coombes (lead vocals, guitar), Mick Quinn (bass, backing vocals), and Danny Goffey (drums, backing vocals). In 2002, the band officially became a quartet with the addition of Rob Coombes (keyboards). They signed with Parlophone Records in 1994 and released their debut album *I Should Coco* in 1995, which became the label's best-selling debut since the Beatles' *Please Please Me*. The album's fourth single, "Alright," gained international success. Over the years, Supergrass released five more albums: *In It for the Money* (1997), *Supergrass* (1999), *Life on Other Planets* (2002), *Road to Rouen* (2005), and *Diamond Hoo Ha* (2008). They also put out a compilation album, *Supergrass Is 10* (2004). In 2009, they began working on a seventh album, *Release the Drones*, which remains unreleased. The band split in 2010 due to creative differences, following a series of farewell concerts.

Supergrass reunited in 2019, performing at Pilton Party and a surprise gig at Oslo in Hackney, London. Their last performance during the reunion was a tribute to Foo Fighters' drummer Taylor Hawkins at his memorial concert, honoring him with songs from their catalog. Hawkins, a big fan of the band, had even made a cameo drum appearance at one of their shows. Supergrass disbanded again in 2022 but reformed once more in 2024 with the original members—Gaz Coombes, Mick Quinn, Danny Goffey, and Rob Coombes—returning to the stage.
