The album catapulted the bands music career and scored them a win for Best Rock or Punk Work at the 2024 Music Victoria Awards.

The band is called The Belair Lip Bombs after a brand of skateboard wheels from California that existed in the 1980s. The name was suggested by the lead singers father.
