VACATIONS 'HOLY GRAIL TOUR' NEW ZEALAND TOUR TICKETS 2027

All You Need To Know About Vacations

Vacations are an Australian indie rock outfit originating from Newcastle, widely recognised for their understated, atmospheric sound and reflective lyricism. Emerging in the mid-2010s, the band cultivated a strong following through digital platforms, where their relaxed, lo-fi aesthetic resonated with listeners drawn to contemporary indie and bedroom pop influences. Their music is characterised by jangly guitar work, subdued vocal delivery, and a distinctly nostalgic tone, frequently exploring themes of youth, relationships, and personal introspection. While comparisons are at times drawn to artists such as Mac DeMarco, the group have established a sound that remains distinctly their own within the Australian indie landscape.

Over the course of their career, Vacations have released a number of well-received projects, including Changes and Forever in Bloom, both of which have contributed to their expanding international profile. Notwithstanding this success, the band have maintained a consistent artistic identity centred on authenticity and musical cohesion, rather than commercial excess. Their live performances are typically intimate and engaging, placing emphasis on atmosphere and a genuine connection with the audience over large-scale production. As they continue to evolve artistically, particularly with forthcoming material such as “Holy Grail,” Vacations remain a notable and respected presence within Australia’s contemporary indie music scene.
