Japanese DJ ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U (Yousuke Yukimatsu) is widely recognised as one of the most dynamic and genre-defying DJs on the global stage. Based in Tokyo since 2020, his mastery of the CDJs is exceptional, effortlessly blending styles ranging from techno and breakbeat to IDM, ambient, and leftfield bass. Yukimatsu’s journey began in Osaka, where he developed his craft while working in construction. His performance at DJ Nobu’s Future Terror in 2014 marked a turning point, introducing him to Japan’s underground elite. Following a brain cancer diagnosis and subsequent tumour-removal surgery in 2016, he devoted himself entirely to DJing, leaving his day job behind. Since then, he has become a defining figure in the global underground scene, participating in durational TRANCE installations with Asian Dope Boys and releasing the acclaimed mix compilation Midnight Is Comin’ (Midnight Shift). His 2022 HÖR Berlin set garnered over two million views in under ten months, while his 2025 Boiler Room performance surpassed that milestone in just ten days, solidifying his reputation as a world-class, boundary-pushing artist.
