All You Need To Know About Lytham Fest
The Lytham Festival, formerly known as Lytham Proms, is an annual music event lasting five days and held in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. Located by Lytham Windmill on the Lytham Green, a strip of land between the coastal road and the River Ribble estuary, the festival is promoted and ticketed as "The Proms Arena." It usually occurs in mid-July, culminating in an evening of orchestral classical music reminiscent of traditional promenade concerts. Established in 2009, the festival is organized by Cuffe & Taylor, a promoter based in Lancashire and owned by Live Nation UK. With a usual capacity of 20,000 attendees, it has become a prominent annual event.
Lytham Festival has evolved from a one-night Proms-style concert into a vibrant five-day music extravaganza, drawing over 100,000 attendees annually. Situated by Lancashire's picturesque Ribble Estuary, the event features headliners such as Lionel Richie, Sting, Diana Ross, Duran Duran, and many more. In 2024, the festival will offer five nights of live music on Lytham Green, typically a serene spot for activities like kite flying and family picnics, transforming it into a bustling music hub where global artists perform for crowds of up to 25,000 each night.
