One New Zealand Stadium, reviously the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena, is a major new 30,000-capacity rectangular stadium currently being built in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is designed to host a wide range of sports, including rugby league (NRL), rugby union, and football, as well as concerts and large events, with up to 36,000 spectators possible. The venue replaces the former Lancaster Park, which was demolished after earthquake damage, and features a fully covered roof, modern continuous concourses, premium hospitality spaces, 23 corporate suites, 23 food and beverage outlets, and enhanced acoustics for both sport and entertainment. Construction began in 2022 with completion expected in 2026, and it will significantly boost Christchurch’s profile as a national sporting and cultural hub when it opens.
