What to expect at Origin Game 3
Game 3 is the final match of the State of Origin series and, when the teams arrive with one win each, everything comes down to the result.
A decider means the winner takes the series and the State of Origin Shield, as New South Wales did in Brisbane in 2026. If the series has already been secured in the opening two games, Game 3 still gives the other state a final opportunity to finish the series with a win.
The match follows the standard rugby league format of two 40-minute halves, with golden point extra time if scores are level at the end of regulation time.
