All You Need To Know About The Sydney Super Cup 2026

The Sydney Super Cup is an international football tournament held in Sydney, Australia, featuring both local A-League clubs and elite European teams. Launched in 2022, the inaugural edition brought together Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers with Celtic FC and Everton FC in a short, exhibition-style format aimed at entertaining fans and boosting tourism. Beyond showcasing high-level football, the event also serves as a strategic initiative to attract visitors, position Sydney as a global sports destination, and stimulate the local economy.

The 2026 Sydney Super Cup promises to be even bigger, with Premier League powerhouses Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur joining Sydney’s top clubs. This edition will feature both men’s and women’s matches, including a standout fixture where Chelsea FC Women face the A-League Women All-Stars, underscoring the growing prominence of women’s football. Matches will take place at Sydney’s major stadiums, including Accor and Allianz, giving fans the rare opportunity to watch elite European clubs in Australia. Beyond the action on the pitch, the tournament is expected to generate significant economic benefits and further elevate Sydney’s reputation as a premier host city for international sporting events.
