Well, it’s official, Elton John has announced he’ll be returning to Australia & NZ in the summer of 2019. It’s a massive schedule and shows will run into 2020.

The announcement comes only a day after we published an article talking about Elton’s mooted tour dates for Australia and NZ.   

Elton will traverse Australia and New Zealand between November 2019 and February 2020. It will be his most extensive tour of the region yet.

The tour will kick off with record breaking back-to-back appearances at Perth’s HBF Park (formerly nib Stadium) on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December 2019. This will mark 48 years since Elton’s first ever Australian show at Perth’s Subiaco Oval on 17th October 1971.

The Ticket Merchant pre-sale begins at 9am on Wednesday 6th February.

The massive tour includes gigs in all capital cities, combined with stops at some of Australia’s finest outdoor venues including:

  • Hunter Valley’s Hope Estate
  • Rutherglen’s All Saints Estate
  • Rochford Wines in the Yarra Valley
  • Queensland’s Sirromet Wines
  • Victoria’s Hanging Rock, and
  • Bathurst’s Carrington Park.

Additional dates, including North QLD, will be announced later in 2019.
“I always love coming back to Australia. Ever since my first visit in 1971 it has held a very special place in my heart,” said Elton.
