It’s the tour we’ve all been waiting for… global superstar Adele is finally heading Down Under for the first time in her 10-year career.
Rumours of an Australian tour of her album ’25’ have been circulating for weeks, but it was when a short clip of her instantly recognisable eyes was featured during the advert break of this weeks’ The X Factor that excitement really built across the country.
On Tuesday morning, in a handwritten note posted onto Adele’s Instagram, the tour was announced.
In February 2017, Adele will begin a five date stadium tour around Australia, with shows in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne.
It’s fair to say Adele is at the top of her game; after a number of critically and commercially acclaimed singles including ‘Someone Like You’, ‘Hello’ and ‘Rolling in the Deep’, her third album ‘25’, became the world’s best-selling album of 2015 selling 17.4 million copies within the year, and became certified-Diamond by the Record Industry Association of America.
Adele’s live shows are well known for their no-gimmicks staging – just Adele and her world-class voice and her famous down-to-earth comical banter.
This is undoubtedly going to be the tour of 2017 and fans will not want to miss out. Tickets go on sale Monday 21st November 2016*, check below for tour dates and links to tickets.
