All You Need To Know About Barbie The Movie: In Concert

Barbie is a fantasy comedy feature film released in 2023, directed by Greta Gerwig and inspired by the globally recognised Barbie fashion doll created by Mattel. Starring Margot Robbie as Barbie alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken, the film follows the pair as they leave the seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land and venture into the complexities of the real world. Throughout their journey, the characters explore themes surrounding identity, personal purpose, relationships and societal expectations, combining humour, satire and heartfelt emotional storytelling.

The film quickly emerged as a major global cultural phenomenon, widely recognised for its striking visual presentation, sharp humour, memorable soundtrack and contemporary social commentary, while also celebrating the enduring legacy of the Barbie brand. Barbie received extensive critical acclaim for its performances, direction, production design and music, ultimately becoming one of the highest-grossing films of 2023. Its internationally successful soundtrack further strengthened the film’s impact across cinema, music and popular culture, solidifying its position as one of the defining entertainment releases of the year.
