Bob Mould is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and producer best known as the frontman of the influential punk rock band Hüsker Dü. Born in 1960 in Malone, New York, Mould played a pivotal role in shaping the alternative rock and hardcore punk scenes of the 1980s. With Hüsker Dü, he blended raw intensity with melodic songwriting, influencing countless bands that followed. After the band disbanded in 1988, Mould embarked on a successful solo career, releasing critically acclaimed albums such as Workbook (1989) and Black Sheets of Rain (1990). He later formed the band Sugar in the early ‘90s, achieving mainstream success with their album Copper Blue (1992), which remains a landmark in alternative rock.
