All You Need To Know About Freeform Festival

Freeform Festival has rapidly emerged as one of Melbourne’s notable electronic music events, recognised for its immersive atmosphere, thoughtfully curated line-ups and modern approach to live electronic performance. Held at the renowned Sidney Myer Music Bowl, the festival presents a broad selection of electronic, ambient and experimental artists from Australia and abroad. Since launching, the event has gained strong support from audiences seeking a more boutique and artist-focused alternative to larger mainstream music festivals.

Freeform Festival 2026 is set to take place on Saturday, 3 October 2026, with organisers preparing an expanded multi-stage experience across the venue precinct and surrounding gardens. Attendees can expect premium sound production, immersive visual installations and an energetic open-air environment designed to complement the festival’s progressive musical identity. Previous editions have featured acclaimed performances from artists including Four Tet, Floating Points and Skee Mask, further strengthening the festival’s reputation within Australia’s contemporary electronic music scene.
