Made up of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew "Matty" Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel. With a new music to be released in advance to their arrival four singles thus far have already been released: ‚ÄòPart of the Band‚Äô in July, ‚ÄòHappiness‚Äô in August, and last month‚Äôs ‚ÄòI‚Äôm in Love With You‚Äô and ‚ÄòAll I Need to Hear‚Äô.

With four albums already under their belts, The 1975I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of ItA Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, and Notes on a Conditional Form, their forthcoming album Being Funny in a Foreign Language will make it their fifth.  Described as a fusion of many different genres of pop from funk to electronic, Healy has stated that their influence is "heavily rooted" in African-American music in many interviews as well as describing the band as "a post-modern pop band that references a million things. I don't even know what my band is half the time."

Tour

The 1975 first toured Australia in 2013, as part of their debut album tour. The tour was a success, with the band playing four sold out shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
