THE MARY WALLOPERS NEW ZEALAND TOUR TICKETS

All You Need To Know About The Mary Wallopers

The Mary Wallopers are an Irish folk band celebrated for their high-energy, rebellious take on traditional ballads and working-class songs. Originating from Dundalk, Ireland, the group began as a trio featuring brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy alongside Seán McKenna, delivering raw, raucous folk tunes with a punk-inspired attitude. Over time, they expanded into a full band, enriching their sound with additional instrumentation and depth.

Blending humor, sharp social commentary, and foot-stomping arrangements, The Mary Wallopers have built a loyal fanbase both in Ireland and beyond. Their music honors classic Irish folk while injecting it with a fresh, modern edge, setting them apart in today’s folk scene. Known for their rousing singalongs and electrifying stage presence, their live performances capture the spirit of Ireland’s musical heritage with an unmistakable rebellious flair.
