All You Need To Know About The Teskey Brothers
The Teskey Brothers are an Australian blues rock band from Melbourne, formed in 2008 by brothers Josh (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Sam Teskey (lead guitar), along with Brendon Love (bass) and Liam Gough (drums). They started by performing at local parties and venues before gaining broader recognition. Their debut album, *Half Mile Harvest* (2017), reached the Top 20 on the ARIA charts and topped the ARIA Independent Album chart. In 2019, they signed with Glassnote Records and Ivy League Records, winning three ARIA Awards for their second album, *Run Home Slow*, including Best Group and Best Blues and Roots Album.
In 2023, after the departure of Love and Gough, the band, now a duo, released their third studio album, *The Winding Way*. Known for their soulful sound, they draw influences from artists like Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett, blending elements of soul, jazz, and rhythm and blues. In addition to their studio albums, they have released several live recordings and covered classic tracks like INXS's "Never Tear Us Apart" and Archie Roach's "Get Back to the Land" with Emma Donovan.
