L.A.B. is a New Zealand reggae band that originated in Whakatāne, Bay of Plenty, in 2016. The founding members include Brad Kora (backing vocals and drums) and Stuart Kora (backing vocals, keyboard, and guitar) from the band Kora. They soon brought in Joel Shadbolt for lead vocals and guitar, Ara Adams-Tamatea, previously with Katchafire, as bassist, and Miharo Gregory as keyboardist. The band's music primarily consists of reggae, blended with elements of electronic, blues, rock, and funk.

Their song "In the Air" reached the top of the New Zealand Singles Chart in March 2020 and was recognized as the country's best-performing single of the year. It spent 73 weeks in the top 10, making it New Zealand's best-selling single of all time with 9× platinum status. Another hit, "Why Oh Why," also topped the New Zealand chart in December 2020 and gained traction at Island Reggae radio stations in Hawaii by mid-2021.

In July 2020, L.A.B. announced their first summer show for January 2021, featuring The Black Seeds, Mako Road, Bailey Wiley, and Anna Coddington as supporting acts.
