MOANA PASIFIKA SUPER RUGBY PACIFIC 2026

The Moana Pasifika are a Super Rugby Pacific team made up of players from Pacific Island nations and Pasifika heritage, based in New Zealand and playing home games at North Harbour Stadium. They were founded in 2020 and debuted in the competition in 2022 with the aim of giving Pacific Island talent a professional platform and strengthening ties between island communities and elite rugby. In 2025 they enjoyed their best season yet, recording club‑record wins and strong fan support while finishing just outside the playoff positions, highlighted by memorable victories over teams like the Crusaders and Hurricanes and standout performances from leaders such as Miracle Faiilagi and Ardie Savea. For 2026 the squad blends experienced campaigners and exciting new signings as they build on that momentum and continue to strive for consistent success in the league, with a strong focus on Pacific culture and identity at the heart of the team’s ethos.
