NSW WARATAHS
The NSW Waratahs are the Sydney-based Super Rugby Pacific team representing New South Wales and have been working to rebuild their competitiveness after a difficult 2024 season. In 2025 they showed signs of improvement under coach Dan McKellar with some notable results including a thrilling 37-36 opening win over the Highlanders and a 28-23 victory over the ACT Brumbies that snapped a long losing streak against that rival, but they also suffered heavy defeats and inconsistency as they balanced attacking potential with defensive lapses. The 2026 squad has been reinforced with new signings alongside experienced players in a push to climb the Super Rugby Pacific ladder and challenge for finals positions while maintaining strong support from their Sydney-area fan base.
