When and where is Christchurch Super Round 2027?

For three days in April, the usual Super Rugby Pacific schedule gives way to something different. Instead of Round 8 being played across multiple home grounds, the entire competition heads to Christchurch, with One New Zealand Stadium hosting every fixture.

The Christchurch Super Round 2027 starts with a Friday-night home appearance for the Crusaders against the Brumbies. The remaining four New Zealand franchises then take their turn across the weekend, with the Chiefs and Blues playing on Saturday and the Highlanders and Hurricanes on Sunday.

It will be Christchurch's second year hosting Super Round, following the event's first visit to the city in 2026.

Super Round Christchurch 2027 fixtures

Every Super Rugby Pacific side will feature during the weekend, creating five match-ups across three days. Four pit New Zealand teams directly against Australian opposition, while the Highlanders meet Fijian Drua on Sunday afternoon.

How much are Super Round rugby 2027 tickets?

There isn't one set price for Super Round rugby 2027 tickets. What you pay can depend on the session or day you're attending, your position in the stadium and the availability remaining when you book.

Check the live listings above for current prices rather than relying on pricing from previous editions of the event.

One New Zealand Stadium seating, parking and getting there

One New Zealand Stadium gives the 2027 Rugby Super Round a central Christchurch home. The approximately 25,000-seat venue is fully roofed, so the weekend can go ahead under cover regardless of what the April weather is doing outside.

Its location also means a trip to Super Round can be combined with time in central Christchurch rather than treating the stadium as a separate destination on the edge of the city.

Inside the ground, seating wraps around the playing field across multiple stands and levels. Check the location attached to your ticket before arriving so you know which part of the stadium you're heading for.

What to expect at the Rugby Super Round

The appeal of Super Round isn't simply the number of games. It's the mix of supporters, teams and rivalries that normally wouldn't share the same ground over a regular round.

A Crusaders fan can watch their side on Friday and come back to see four different teams the following evening. Supporters travelling into Christchurch can build an entire weekend around the rugby, while neutral fans can pick a double-header and see two matches on the same ticketed day where applicable.

The Rugby Super Round also brings the wider competition into Christchurch at once. Players and supporters from New Zealand, Australia and Fiji will all be in the city, with fan activities and entertainment adding to what's happening away from the field.
